The Rooted Center

Your body is your partner. It is a relationship you get to come home to and reconnect with. It’s not something you need to fix with ridged rules. Through movement, breath, and rest, let go of tension and pain and feel more grounded, connected, and at ease.

Meet Kim

Since 1983, I’ve guided people through movement, breath, meditation, and awareness practices.

For more than 20 years, I owned and operated a yoga studio where I supported people through many different stages of life — helping them develop a more connected, responsive, and alive relationship with their bodies over time.

My approach is grounded in careful observation, deep listening, and the understanding that every body and every lived experience is unique.

This work is not about perfection or performance.

It is about helping you create more ease, awareness, connection, and freedom within yourself.

Client Reviews

Kim is an amazing teacher.  Her classes are a combination of stretches, strength and healing.  After every class, my body feels looser and calmer and better.  She is supportive, encouraging, accepting and attentive to everyone in the class and to what their body needs.  Kim is also very creative with no class exactly the same.  I like having the option of the different days and times for the classes as well as being on Zoom which makes it easier to attend with no commute time.  I started attending during the pandemic when having a class provided a community as well as a way to get some exercise.  I have continued because I feel energized by the classes and by Kim’s warmth and compassion.”
